ZipZag Rides is a young and highly innovative engineering company that designs, supplies and installs their bespoke market leading Zip Roller Coaster ride in outdoor and indoor attractions throughout the world. We have been operating for 5 years and have designed/installed over 80 rides in 14 different countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
Zip Roller Coasters are a relatively new concept. ZipZag has been and remains at the forefront of this developing technology. Sales have grown rapidly over the past three years and with growing interest in and awareness of the concept, the market opportunity that lies ahead of us is significant. Demand for our rides is high, and this has led to a need to grow the pool of installation resource available to us to assist with the installation of our rides across the world.
What you’ll need (skills and experience)
- Experience of using a wide range of tools and equipment.
- Experience of working on a building or civil works site.
- Familiarity of working with steel on construction projects, and/or installing or erecting metal products or systems
- A full passport and a willingness to travel overseas for the duration of an installation which is typically between 1 and 3 weeks.
- A full driving licence.
- You will need to be hardworking and work well as part of a team.
Where you’ll work
Site installations are typically between 1 and 3 weeks duration. You will be engaged on a per installation basis and paid at the above hourly rate for the hours worked. The majority of installations are in Europe although you may be required to travel to an installation further afield.

Our main office is in Chester but the role will involve a mixture of both office and site based work. Up to 30% of your time could be on site anywhere in the world. Site visits are typically between 1 and 3 weeks duration.
What you’ll do
You will be an important part of the installation team, helping us to install our rides on client sites. The installation will typically last between 1 and 3 weeks depending on complexity. During your site work, you will work alongside our installation team and will be under the supervision of one of our senior engineers who will ensure the quality of ride installations. You will be expected to be at the client site throughout the installation process.
